Embrace the change: Nature's role in your menopause journey

Hosted by
National Parks and Wildlife Service
Hosted by
National Parks and Wildlife Service

Discover and celebrate nature's role in the menopause journey.

Are you feeling the call of nature as you navigate the journey of menopause? Are you discovering more information about the importance of our earth connection as we age?

Join us for a gentle and experiential nature session in one of our iconic national parks, and discover the connection between menopause and nature. This unique nature festival activity will be led by Alex Gaut, accredited Forest Bathing Guide and Masters in Environmental Psychology, and Jessica Wilson, Nature Education Coordinator at the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Throughout the session, Jessica and Alex will guide you through various approaches that celebrate nature's role in enriching this chapter of your life, including sensory engagement, nature journaling, art, and the sharing of ideas and resources to help us explore a deeper relationship to the land, self and the rest of nature.

BYO lunch if you’d like to stay for a picnic following the event

Please note:
We are not therapists nor can we provide any medical advice. However, we bring our own experiences, knowledge, senses and wisdom (from a range of wisdom traditions). This event is aimed at participants who are perimenopausal, postmenopausal or in the midst of it.

  • Water bottle
  • A small chair or mat to sit on (we will bring some as well)
  • Any useful resources on menopause and/or nature you’d love to share
  • Personal items (eg medicine, sunscreen)
